This mid-February I had a chance to visit Palembang for several days. The only thing that appears in my mind was visiting my cousins who tens of years ago took care of me in my childhood. Unfortunately I had no opportunity to stay at their house even for a single night because of the limited time. But I ate a plateful of home-made pempek and enjoy durian a lot ;;)
It was my second visit to the house at Dempo Dalam. I remember that I accidentally spent almost 5 days to arrive at Palembang from Jogja by bus because I chose a cheaper ticket (even I can’t recall the name of the bus) and I don’t wanna do that again :D
Thank God, the office sent me with Garuda Indonesia and so it only took an hour from Jakarta. Another GFF miles for me.. targeting a gold card in this year.
